How to verify HUID number on gold?
Use the free BIS Care app (Android + iOS, by Bureau of Indian Standards). Open the app, tap "Verify HUID", scan or manually enter the 6-character alphanumeric code. The app shows the jewellery type, purity, weight, hallmark date, and the certified jeweller. If the code is missing from BIS records, the piece is counterfeit.
