What this site does
GoldRateTodayLive publishes the daily gold and silver rate in India, broken down by purity (24K, 22K, 18K) and weight (per gram, 8 grams, 10 grams, tola, 100 grams) across more than 350 Indian cities. All rates are derived from the India Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd. (IBJA) national reference, which is updated twice every business day — an AM session at 12:35 IST and a PM session at 18:05 IST.
Who runs this site
This site is owned and operated by Upendra Singh (digitalupendra.com), an independent digital publisher based in India. Editorial and product decisions are made by the owner; this site is not affiliated with IBJA, BIS, RBI, the Ministry of Finance, or any Indian jeweller or gold-loan provider.
How we source rates
Our IBJA scraper polls IBJA's published reference rate after each AM and PM settlement and validates the result against four rules: (1) the rate must be within ±5% of the previous day's same-session rate, (2) the 24K-to-22K ratio must be within the documented purity-ratio band, (3) no rate can be null or zero, and (4) the source must match a known IBJA URL. Any rate that fails validation is rejected and the previous valid rate is retained until manual review. We log every scrape in a public-format audit log inside our admin panel.
How we generate content
Long-form factual content on city pages, pillar guides, FAQ pages, and brand pages is researched and drafted with AI assistance, then human-edited before publication. We do not auto-publish AI-generated factual content without editorial review. Daily market commentary is written from the day's IBJA rate plus a sourced headline summary, with explicit instructions never to provide buy/sell recommendations — we provide factual context only.
Editorial standards
This site does not give buy/sell advice. We do not display retail jeweller-board rates as authoritative; we display the IBJA reference rate plus a documented small premium for each city. We disclose the source on every page (IBJA), the last-updated timestamp, the author, and the limitations of the displayed rate (jewellers add making charges, GST, and brand margin on top). We follow E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) standards because gold and silver rate content is YMYL (Your Money or Your Life).
