I'm Upendra Singh, the editor at GoldRateTodayLive. I started this site to give Indian investors a clean, fast, ad-light source for daily IBJA gold and silver rates — the same reference rates that banks, jewellers and the Reserve Bank of India use to mark Sovereign Gold Bonds.

Every rate on this site is sourced from India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the industry benchmark, and updated twice daily for the AM (12:35 IST) and PM (18:05 IST) sessions. City-level rates factor in regional jeweller margins and local making-charge conventions.

For long-form guides — Sovereign Gold Bond, gold ETF, gold loan, tax treatment — I cross-reference RBI circulars, the Income Tax Act, World Gold Council demand reports, and BIS hallmarking notifications. Every guide carries a "last reviewed" date; I revisit each one quarterly or when a regulatory change makes it stale.

How I source and review content

·Rates: IBJA AM/PM reference, scraped twice daily. Fallback chain: GoodReturns → Yahoo Finance → goldapi.io if IBJA is down.
·News: Competitor scrape (ET, Business Standard, LiveMint, MoneyControl) for topic discovery; AI drafts; human edit before publish.
·Guides: Long-form pieces are written with AI assistance and reviewed by me line-by-line before publish. Every guide cites at least three primary sources.
·Updates: Daily for rate pages, weekly for news, quarterly for evergreen guides.
·Corrections: If you spot an error, email me and I'll fix it within 24 hours.
